Now On to the News!

Well, I have finished my photojournalism class. Loved it! Everyone should take a class like this if they are ever going to use a camera. I find myself always taking my camera with me to see if I can get that special photo. If you are a person that likes the web like me, you'll find yourself always trying to look for the "special" shot that I can put on the web.

I thought this mug shot did not do my teacher, Rob Priewe justice. The lamp in the photo being the one thing that caught me off guard. This lamp does not define Rob, it does not say anything about his character. The lighting has a reflection off the glass from the painting in the background. You can also see an outline of his hands, doing what, are they reflecting something? As far as his face, it looks fine but it doesn't show him in his true light, for a mug shot, in the which it is labeled, it fails the ear to ear test. In short I hope that I don't fail the class. I just think it looks somewhat cluttered and isn't what it could be. I hear the sound of a waterfall and my career going down the drain.

Photo Mystique

I really like this sports photo because it shows the expertise of the photographer.  The picture of the Eiffel Tower and the bikers in the background looking off in their own little world kind of give the audience that what he was doing isn't that spectacular, but the taking of the photo causes you to glance into the life of the rider for a moment.   It's like I can hear the traffic of the world and the excitement of the events going on in the background, but, for a moment you are trapped in silence and awe as the rider reaches his peak and comes down from the moment.  Awesome.

This picture found on flickr brings a whole new meaning to wheelchair. I liked this photo because it really tells a picture about homelessness. I feel the picture speaks for itself. I like the car in the background that has a different color door and the bridge in the background (you can see the pillars).

Focus and Action

I didn't like this photo because the details I would like to see aren't really in focus, the focus is on the mechanism on the left.

It does tell a story however, the guy is trying to take a picture of himself, but unless you are very wise you wouldn't be able to know that unless you talked to the photographer, I would have moved out a ways to get a better view for the photo.

I'm on Flickr! Woohooo!

These are personal photos that I'm making public,  some of these photos will be the ones I haven't shown on my blog and others that I am either working on, or haven't made the final cut.   Others still I'm hoping to make a montage of different things, so I can become a Photoshop artist and make millions on the web and move to a far off island near Africa and walk around naked and tell people I'm an artist.

I'm Crazy About This Photo!

This picture of what looks like a really weird guy, done by Mario Caruso, is perhaps one of the most unique photo out of all his work. I love all of his stuff, it's all just absolutely amazing!

Lost in Space!

Recently I came across a picture in the Washington Post that spoke a thousand words to me. They probably made it thumbnail size for a reason. Don't be shocked at the smallness of size. I assure you it really is a photo.

Though I am a very immature, amateur, at taking photos, I thought to myself, "I'm bound to get lost in this photo." Though Obama stands out in the picture with all his bright colors, they sure could have used better Photoshop skills for this. Both cropping on the sides and some on the top would have left this picture breathtaking. Good photo, but I think it could of used some more expertise. This photo I rate a 7.7 out of 10 on the FWWW scale.

This picture was taken in Albany before the election.  It's a really good photo in general.  I especially like it because though, the lady on right has her mouth open and the sign in the background, it conveys Barrack Obama talking to the people, not in some magnificent place but where "we the people" are.

Mechanical Beauty

In a marvelous day of new inventions and technology we are arriving upon a dawn of a new era of renewable energy and natural resources. This picture was taken of windmills near Palm Springs, California in September of 2008. They depict a picture of majesty and beauty in the midst of desert place. The beauty of energy no longer has to be picture of sludge and ugly mixtures but of beauty and purity.

Photo Critique

This is a photo  I saved for an experiment so I can teach myself how do a photo critique using a link.  This picture is an example of how this works.

My first post!

This is my first photo journal of the wonderful and unique!
